It is one of the organised beaches of the island, with deck chairs, umbrellas, sea sports and water games. In the area there is also a scuba diving school for those interested in taking lessons.

For those interested in folklore, most of the hotels organize "Greek nights" with traditional music and dance.

Karfas is connected to town with regular buses.
